WHO ARE WE?
We are a committee of faculty, staff, students and parents dedicated to helping the RSHM accomplish its Mission Statement and assist in facilitating its Goals and Criteria within our school environment.
The committee members for 2010/2011 are Anna Stadlman (Chair), Siobhan Berry, Laurent Boulard, Peter Farran, Charlotte Gomart, Katie Hawkins, Rebecca Lyne, Ron Roukema, Sarah Thomas, Katia Cupri, Ella Henry, Teresa Menendez.
WHAT WE DO
The Role of the Implementation Committee: implementing the RSHM goals.
The Goals and Criteria Implementation Committees are comprised of approximately 50 members from all the Marymount schools. These committees meet annually to discuss issues of leadership in their schools and attend workshops and lectures ways to implement the goals. Each committee member is in a leadership role in their respective school and works as a team member to spearhead and implement the goal chosen by the school for that year. The committee members alternate off the committee after a set term (usually three years; terms may be extended at the discretion of the Head of School). Heads of all the Marymount schools are ex-officio members of the committees.
GOAL FOR 2010 - 2012
The committee has adopted the goal To encourage and affirm personal growth
This means that as a school community:
- We are dedicated to the harmonious growth of the whole person through each individual’s physical, emotional, intellectual, social, moral and spiritual development.
- We conduct all relationships according to the principles of honesty, compassion, truthfulness and mutual respect
- We promote a high standard of self-discipline and instill a deep sense of personal responsibility.
- We provide opportunities to develop skills for effective decision making and leadership.
- We cultivate growth in self-knowledge and self-esteem
- We encourage appropriate independent action and effective participation in the community.
- We promote a positive and responsible attitude toward physical and mental well-being.

LIST OF ACTIVITIES
The Implementation Committee (IC) will help the faculty and staff, Parent Teacher Organisation, Board, Alumni, students, and parents implement the Goal through educating these identities and facilitating activities throughout the year.
Some recent and forthcoming activites:
- Dr. George Walker OBE was invited to visit the school on 3 November 2009. He met with teachers and parents, to talk about international education. He then presented to the faculty on the theme of lifelong learning. (Read the speech 48KB PDF)
Doctor Walker is a leading figure in international education. He was Director General of the International School of Geneva, the world’s oldest and largest international school.
From1999 he was Director General of the International Baccalaureate Organization. He retired from this position in 2006.
Dr Walker has published several books including: ‘To Educate Nations: Reflections on an international education.’ and ‘Educating the Global Citizen’ These contain a series of lectures he has delivered at conferences, schools and universities around the world. - UN Assembly 23 October 2009
- School assembly performed by the 4th grade to celebrate the International World Peace Day 21 September 2009.

- School assembly about Zimbabwe. We aim to inform and educate our students about the needs of the children there and how the money raised here at Marymount is used.
