INTERNATIONAL WEEK 2010
The annual international week-long celebration was in February in 2010. As usual, a wide range of events and activities took place including musical concerts, the international food tasting tables, the exhibition of stamps from around the globe, and the chance to dress up in national costume. The end of the week involved everyone in the school participating in a carnival parade with Brazilian samba and capoeira dancers.
During International week 2010 the library hosted an international stamp exhibition and various storytellers visited the library throughout the week and read stories from around the globe to the children in a range of languages. [more]
International Week is a chance for all the cultures in our unique school to shine. Parents bring in treasures from their home countries to share. Flags, maps, currency, music, native dress, and FOOD were available for students and teachers to see and enjoy. [see pictures]
During the week students wore their national dress, ate French crepes, performed concerts and participated in a Brazilian carnival parade. [see pictures]
