ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Marymount is committed to cultivating an awareness of the interdependence and unity of all life. The school integrates social justice and human rights issues into its curriculum and maintains an active community service program.

Sponsor a Child is a parent-run program that maintains a personal link to the humanitarian work of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary (RSHM) in Zimbabwe and encourages students to develop their capacity to respond actively and compassionately to the needs of others.

RSHM MISSION IN ZIMBABWE

The RSHM Sisters have been teaching children and working with families in Zimbabwe since 1963.  Their ministries include:

• education
• HIV/AIDS epidemic
• food relief

WHAT WE DO

For over 20 years Marymount Paris has been the single largest donor of funds to the RSHM mission in Zimbabwe.

Both fundraising and educational events take place regularly helping students to develop a personal and informed connection to this very important charitable cause.
