MARYMOUNT SPORTS DAY - 2007
On Monday, 16th June, Grades 1 – 8 walked to Stade Montclar in Neuilly-sur-Seine for a sports day. They participated in a number of fun sporting activities, including a variety of relays, soccer and basketball. All students were given a color T-shirt representing the team they were in and all shirts boasted the Marymount sport logo - the Falcons.
Children collect as much water in their hands as they race to fill a cup. Ms. Dunleavy demonstrates how to do it.
CHARGE!! All teams race to the opposite side of the field to begin over and under.
A fun race- on your mark, get set----- get dressed!!
Always a fun one- not to mention funny - the good old sack race. Taymour gives some words of advice to Patrick.
The day was fabulously organized by Mr. Barbeau and Mr. Henderson.
The hula-hoopers are cheered on by team mates.
Mme. Arnoult uses all her strength to help her team in the tug of war.
Mr. Ward is equally keen to help his team win.
There was also a mini soccer tournament.
Basketball was played after lunch. Mixed teams were made up of students from Grade 3 - 8, with older students supporting the younger students.
Hot and tired after a day full of fun, students enjoy ice cream as they await the announcement of the winning teams.
The teams that came first, second and third received a medal from Mr. Barbeau.
