Job description:
The Teacher Assistant primarily supports our 0 to 6 year old students in their development, learning, the acquisition of autonomy and socialization, and ensuring their well-being and physical and emotional security. He/She keeps close contact with and supports the homeroom teacher’s educational provision for students. He/She participates in the daily classroom routines (physical support during meals, maintenance of premises, linen and equipment including games and toys, stock management). He/She establishes a daily relationship of quality and trust with families, in an educational and participatory dynamic. He/She supervises students in indoor and outdoor environments, helping to ensure their safety.
Main tasks :
Assist in working with individual and small groups of children in spontaneous activities and implement the program and daily routines as planned by the teacher
Work under the direction of the homeroom teacher and the larger team, while contributing to and following the agreed curriculum lesson plans
Welcome children, provide a caring learning environment and support early learning activities
Assist the child in learning classroom and school routines and the rules of living in a community
Observe the behavior and evolution of the child and identify any difficulties in collaboration with the teacher
Support hygiene, nutrition and development of students
Skills and Knowledge :
Good organizational skills and ability to keep the classroom space clean, and logically and optimally organized
Ability to set clear, healthy boundaries with children consistently in a positive and supportive manner with kind voice tone and volume
Provide the child with appropriate elements of comfort and solace
Provide first aid gestures in case of emergency
Detect risky situations adhering to the School’s safeguarding and other policies/protocols (abuse, harassment, neglect, social emergency, addiction etc.)
Organize, support and help lead activities
Strong compliance with rules, instructions, standards and operational procedures
Safeguarding
This post requires the employee to work in settings with children and young adults. Enhanced police, suitability and employment checks will be carried out from all of the countries in which the candidate has worked. The post holder will be dedicated to keeping children safe in education and will make sure all necessary checks are carried out on those who lead activities.
Required profile:
With experience in ABA and is bilingual French / English
CAP degree accompanying educational early childhood or equivalent

L'assistant(e) pédagogique soutient principalement nos élèves de 0 à 6 ans dans leur développement, leur apprentissage, l'acquisition de l'autonomie et la socialisation, et veille à leur bien-être et à leur sécurité physique et émotionnelle. Il/elle est en contact étroit avec l'enseignant(e) principal(e) et le/la soutient dans l'enseignement qu'il/elle dispense aux élèves. Il participe aux activités quotidiennes de la classe (soutien physique pendant les repas, entretien des locaux, du linge et du matériel, y compris les jeux et les jouets, gestion des stocks). Il/elle établit une relation quotidienne de qualité et de confiance avec les familles, dans une dynamique éducative et participative. Il/elle encadre les élèves dans les environnements intérieurs et extérieurs, en contribuant à leur sécurité.
Missions principales :
Assister le professeur pour les travaux avec des enfants individuellement ou en petits groupes dans le cadre d'activités spontanées et mettre en œuvre le programme et les routines quotidiennes tels que planifiés par l'enseignant
Travailler sous la direction du professeur principal et de l'ensemble de l'équipe, tout en contribuant et en suivant les plans de cours convenus
Accueillir les enfants, fournir un environnement d'apprentissage bienveillant et participer aux activités d'apprentissage
Aider l'enfant à apprendre les routines de la classe et de l'école ainsi que les règles de vie en communauté
Observer le comportement et l'évolution de l'enfant et identifier toute difficulté en collaboration avec l'enseignant
Participer à l'hygiène, l'alimentation et le développement des élèves.
Profil recherché :
Bilingue français/anglais
CAP accompagnant éducatif petite enfance ou équivalent
Etre à l'écoute, faire preuve d'empathie
Avoir l'esprit d'équipe
Faire preuve de créativité, d'inventivité
